Latin Music Webinar Series 2021–2022
Join us on November 30th, 2021, as we examine the role of women and social justice in Latin music featuring Dr. Martha Gonzalez. Dr. Gonzalez is a Chicana Artivista (artist/activist) musician, feminist music theorist and Associate Professor in the Intercollegiate Department of Chicana/o Latina/o Studies at Scripps/Claremont College. She will share her own background and experience in Latin Music, how perceptions about women in Latin music have changed over time and reflect on considerations for the next generation of female artists.
