Southern Counties California Arts Project (SouthCAP) presents Artful Connections: Visual Arts and Theatre! Join SouthCAP at UC Irvine this fall to ignite your creativity, develop your artistic skills, and discover ways to integrate theatre and visual art with other subject areas.
This professional learning day includes an exploration of arts integration as a co-equal approach, hands-on workshops in visual arts and theatre focusing on drawing, watercolor painting, and creative drama, and collaborative planning for classroom application. Open to educators in TK–12, there is no visual arts or theatre experience necessary, and all materials are included. These workshops are perfect for teachers looking to try out an art discipline in the classroom, those looking to integrate the arts with other subject areas, or those teaching the arts looking for inspiration and continued practice.
