NCAP’s Beat the Heat — Visual Arts Workshop Studio

This three-day program is open to elementary, middle and high school teachers in any and all subjects who would like to develop their understandings of visual arts. Teachers will engage in hands-on learning opportunities that align with the CA Arts Education Framework and Arts Standards to support artistic literacy.

If you are a multiple-subject teacher, a single-subject teacher or a teacher in a new arts teaching position and would like to brush up on content in Visual Arts then Beat the Heat offers a relaxed learning environment in the company of fellow teachers who are passionate and inquisitive about art.

• Time: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• Location: California State University, Chico
• Cost: $275.00
• Registration Deadline: May 16 2025. Registration will close if filled before the deadline.
• Space is limited to 30 teachers. Registrations after this limit has been reached will be added to a waitlist and notified if/when space is available.
• Registration Cancellations prior to May 9, 2025 will be charged a $50 cancellation fee, per registration. After May 9, 2025, no refunds will be issued.
