TK teachers and teacher leaders are especially welcome to attend!
Over the past two years, the California Subject Matter Project (CSMP) has been helping design professional development for the rollout of UTK, or Universal Transitional Kindergarten. As a culmination of this work and a celebration of our continued devotion to providing TK curriculum and classroom resources to educators, CSMP is excited to announce its 2024 UTK Conference, “Playful Foundations.” Mary Sandy, Executive Director of the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, and Megan Franke, Professor of Education at UCLA, will serve as keynote speakers.
Join the California Subject Matter Project in this cross-disciplinary conference focused on inquiry-based learning for Transitional Kindergarten / Pre-Kindergarten students in all curriculum areas. With UTK creating space for our youngest learners, this is a time for educators to gather and share ideas and resources. Participants will leave the conference with high quality, play-based, inquiry-centered learning ideas for the TK/PK classroom.
